The main order of business this week is:HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw it on Wednesday after summer school, on Thursday night, and Friday morning. It was amazing every time and totally did not feel like a two and a half hour movie. Also, it was by far the funniest of the movies and most romantic. I don't want to post spoilers, but basically Tom Felton had an amazing performance as Draco Malfoy. Considering in all the other movies all he had to do is be mean (which is the easiest thing in the world), this one was so emotional! He cried and everything and it was a great performance. Emma Watson also did a great job as Hermione Granger like in every movie and so did all the other actors. I want to talk about it more but I don't want to spoil it for everyone!!!!!!!! Just go see it. I want to see it again really badly.

So I went to a birthday party Friday night (sleepover) that included a shaving cream fight I didn't participate in. But that night around one they put The Notebook on and everyone fell asleep instantly except me, Sarah, Ilana, and Alexandra. Sarah and I both had never seen this movie. I really wanted to, but Sarah just was waiting for them to die. We had fun making commentary on it (for the first 45 minutes of the movie, I thought the guys name was Mike), much to Alexandra's enjoyment. Ilana's just a really light sleeper and couldn't fall asleep with the TV on and with our rambling. But I had a good time. I don't really know if I liked the movie or not considering we barely watched it. Well we did, but Ilana turned the sound down really low.

Anyhoo, Sophie and I decided when I should have been born, because as many of you know the 21st century isn't really working out for me. So here is the story of how my life should have been:

I should have been born in 1914 to upper middle class parents. They would be firm but kind (movie reference- see if you can guess) and would teach me to behave. I would have a simple childhood playing with my siblings. The Roaring 20's would come when I was six and I'd be mostly oblivious, but for the end of the 20's I'd be a teenager so I'd listen to jazz and Charleston at school dances. My parents would laugh at my crazy modern ways.

I'd graduate high school in 1932, in the beginnings of the Great Depression. I would then be thrust into the real world (I'm not sure which college I would have gone to- was Sarah Lawrence around?) and I'd learn how to be thrifty and make the most of a bad situation. This would be useful later in life.

Somewhere in the mid to late 30's I'd meet a man, fall in love, and get married. Depending on when we got married, we'd have one or two children before World War II starts and my husband gets drafted to fight for our country. But because this is my perfect life, he survives with little to no sustainable injuries. He's home by 1945, the baby boom hits and we have couple more kids, move to a suburb, and I become a 50's housewife.

Doesn't this sound like a great life????? This is how I should have been. I was born in the wrong time completely.

Aside from all this, nothing else has really happened to ME this week. So birthday time!

I'd like to wish Anthony Edwards and Steven Anthony Lawrence a happy birthday.

Ok, to wrap this up, please comment and I think I might give my blog a face lift because it's too dark for my liking right now.
